so wie ich das verstanden habe, hätte mich der stick, wäre ich ein neukunde also über 200 $ gekostet...huijuijui...I hope I didn't give you a heart attack with the $125 price
Let me try to explain why it is so difficult. Recognizing that $75 is the base price for a Lovers stick, the first up-charge is the transitioning from one gemstone to another, it's kind of challenging especially in the middle where I transition from one stone to another. I have to mix the stones to a smooth blended transition which means there is a lot of wasted gemstones in the mix. Actuality it's more like 5 inlays as opposed to just one.
The second challenge was with the number of roses, all in different inlays. If the vine and all of the roses were the same gemstone, no problem, but having to tape off each rose from the vine, and then the vine from each rose and waiting for the inlays to dry would be nightmarish... I'm fairly certain there would also be some bleeding from one inlay to another, and it would be a several day stick to make, since I can't take it off of the lathe until it's finished.
Honestly, if it wasn't you (as opposed to a new customer), I would have just said no, or if they insisted, would have priced it at $200+. I value your business, and want you to be happy, but even at $125 when I factor in the time and expense it really isn't worth it to me. In the same amount of time I could make 3 or 4 sticks.
Now, to answer your questionI'll do the vine with transitioning stones for $85
