We’ve hit a milestone of 1,000 sales!!! I know in the whole scheme of things it’s not a big deal, but for us, it is. To celebrate this milestone, and to thank all of our customers, and those that will become customers, we will be offering a 10% discount plus free shipping on any custom orders placed for the rest of the month of March! (the discount and shipping will be refunded at the time of purchase so there is no confusion about the regular pricing).
The Road to 1,000... We listed our first stick on November 15 2009, and we sold our 1,000th stick on March 10, 2011. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished, but more importantly I’m proud to be associated with our customers. We have some customers that have purchased 1 stick, and others that have purchased dozens, and our heartfelt thanks goes out to everyone. Along the way, we’ve forged tremendous friendships which we truly cherish, and to all those involved with the Advent Calendar, we still cannot thank you enough.
Throughout this timeframe we’ve also gained an appreciation for our competition. Grahtoe’s, Nightblooming, Graydog, Beetnik etc., all of whom are outstanding artists which we have the utmost respect for. Throughout the past year I’ve received numerous requests from customers asking if I would copy a particular design, and my response has been and always will be no, out of respect for the artist and my own personal integrity. I know I speak for all of the true artists in our community when I say that copying our work is not flattering at all, it’s plagiarism. When someone copies a particular design or designs, it clearly demonstrates a lack of artistic creativity, and moral integrity. Please, do not copy our work, but moreover find your own style, as you might just surprise yourself.
